Next Generation Serology Testing

An advanced approach to serologic monitoring for laboratory animal pathogens, providing the highest level of Diagnostic Accuracy available.

  • Uses Less Serum
    • Allows for survival bleeds
    • MFI requires only 0.2 µl of undiluted serum (1.0 µl of 1:5 diluted serum) regardless of number of tests requested.  This means that survival-bled rodents can now be comprehensively tested.
    • To Allow for potential secondary and tertiary confirmatory testing, we recommend that a minimum of 20 µl of undiluted (100 µl of diluted serum) be submitted for each sample.  With the advent of MFI technology, insufficient serum volumes have become a thing of the past.

  • Better Results
    • Greater specificity
    • Greater sensitivity
    • Greater predictive values
    • Highest level of results confidence

  • Primary & Confirmatory Results in a Single MFI2 Assay

  • Two antigens for each agent at no additional testing cost

Secondary and Tertiary Testing performed using
Indirect Fluorescent Antibody Testing (IFA) and Western Blot (WB).
